At LightStars Academy, we understand that circumstances can change. Our goal is to make the withdrawal process transparent and fair, while ensuring consistency with our operational commitments to students, instructors, and families.

  1. Subscription Cancellations

      Monthly Subscription Fee: $3.49/month

  • You may cancel your membership at any time through your account dashboard.
  • Cancellations made before your next billing cycle will prevent future charges. No partial refunds are issued for the current month once billed.
  • Access to exclusive member content will remain active until the end of the paid billing cycle.

  1. Course Withdrawals

    Standard Course Fee: $49/month per class

          Students may withdraw from a course at any time. Refunds and billing adjustments depend on the timing of the withdrawal:

    • Within 7 days of course enrollment: A full refund may be requested for the first month’s course fee.
    • After 7 days: No refunds are issued for the current billing cycle, but students can cancel future billing.
    • To stop recurring charges, students must withdraw from the course through their account before the next monthly billing date.
    • Access to course materials and class participation ends at the end of the billing cycle in which withdrawal occurs.

  1. Semester Courses (Flat Fee Courses)

Some semester-based courses may be offered at a flat rate (e.g., $399 for academic semesters, $549 for AP courses).

  • Withdrawal within 7 days of course start date: Full refund.
  • Withdrawal within 14 days: 50% refund.
  • After 14 days: No refund.

  1. Exceptional Circumstances

Students may petition for a refund outside the standard policy due to:

  • Verified medical issues
  • Family emergencies
  • Enrollment errors

All petitions will be reviewed by the administrative team within 10 business days.

  1. Instructor Cancellations

If a course is canceled by the instructor or by LightStars Academy due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances:

  • A full refund for the current month or remaining balance will be issued.
  • Students may choose to transfer to a different class if available.
